Affiliations and Collaborations

Germaine Lawrence has affiliated with a diverse array of organizations in order to better achieve its mission.

Since the early 80s we have collaborated with Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CHMC) to treat girls with life threatening cases of anorexia nervosa. During the ‘90s , CHMC became Germaine Lawrence’s primary health provider. A female pediatrician on staff at CHMC acts as our school physician, seeing our students one day per week at our campus. Specialists at CHMC provide all non-emergency health care.

Germaine Lawrence is affiliated with the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC) to enhance our clinical services.

Germaine Lawrence is also affiliated with several colleges and universities to train undergraduate and graduate level clinicians and special educators.

We provide clinical internships for social work interns from Boston College, Boston University and Simmons College, and for counseling interns from Lesley University, Northeastern University, and Tufts University.

We provide special education internships for students from Lesley University.

In addition, we provide expressive therapy internships for students from Lesley University and Berklee School of Music and coop placements for students from Northeastern University.
